I signed up to pay a weekly payment out of my US bank checking account. I live paycheck to paycheck not much left behind between paychecks.

I went to US.com where 2 years ago I signed up for a popmoney account on the US Website to have 115.00 come out weekly on a Thursdays when I get paid. I have many overdafts due the fact US bank only informed on there site it might 2 to 3 days to post. It was being pulled out of my account on a Monday and just yesterday I had 3 over drafts in one day because of US bank and popmoney taking my Money out on a Monday overdrawned: I dont know why you guys have me even brother to schedule the payments in the frist place if your not going to take money when I choose for you for it to come out.. You guys are taking money out of my 7 child months monthly this is not right and I have over 1000 dollars in overdraft fees in the last 3 months.

I will be turning US Bank on Line and In Hartville Missour Bank and Popmoney into to BBB,Consumer Affairs and gov.com and to the Federal government to request audit and for them to review my account and to help me get more than only 100 in fees back which doesn't help much I was hoping my Back would admit there mistakes and make it right. My Sister is an Auditor and she will be helping me with ,MR Dustin Lee Lathrom and Deana F Metzger.

Overdraft fees

US Bank - Overdraft fees
As of today 8/06/2019, I saw overdraft fees that I clearly tried heading off by transferring money for my business account to personal. The way US bank has it rigged is if you don't bring the account positive by 5 pm end of day, you get charged the fees. The charges were from a pay pal transaction for 5 dollars and State Farm for 101.07 dated 8/05/2019. Now mind you I have a substantial amount of money in my business account. I was told when I sign up for the account 4 years ago I had overdraft protection. Although I would hardly need it seeing that I'm one of the few who checks my US Bank online account every day, I got it anyway. Well while on the phone with the supervisor Im told today I don't have overdraft protection. Through I bought the account positive at 12 pm today, I was lead to believe they give you a window of time to make up the money you owe before your hit with fees. As you can see in the screenshot upload those fees are pending while I'm on the phone trying to explain what happens. As it turns out they denied me and keep the fees in place. A. 12 pm 8/6/2019 I brought the bank balance positive. B. 1 pm They denied me the restoration of the two $36.00 fees. This happened even as I had money in my other account to cover the overdraft. C. They tell me because it's a business account I don't have the luxury of overdraft protection. D. They tell me that because I didn't get the money to them by 5 pm they figure I deserve the fees as punishment. As you can see they have the overdraft system is set up to rob the customer even when you have money in your account. This BS about business accounts not having overdraft protection is a load of crap! They figure if If they can't make money off me with large interest fees they make it up with overdraft fees. Altura Credit Union was sued under a class-action lawsuit for this very thing and I ended up getting money back from the settlement.

Received letter to open account with promotion of $250 using code to apply online and since mortgage with us bank figured how convenient so we applied online....followed all requirements and got the yes you qualified and will receive in 8-10 weeks..well 10 weeks passed and nothing so contacted again and said they show no record of ever sending us a letter (we just pulled the code out of thin air apparently) so we are denied the promotional $250. What a crock!! Cancelling our account immediately.

U.S. Bank penalizes its customers that travel when they are in States where U.S. Bank does not have a presence such as Louisiana and Texas. If one needs to get cash using their debit card, there is no U.S. Bank branch or ATM available, so one must pay a fee to use another ATM plus a fee to U.S. Bank for using a non-U.S. Bank ATM. Shame on U.S. Bank! U.S. Bank needs to change its name, because it does not cover the United States. Maybe P.U.S Bank - Partly United States Bank.

Manager Puts Hold on Paycheck to Impress Young Female Teller

I am a stockholder in USB and a US Bank depositor of twenty-five years standing. As such, I would not expect to be treated like a suspicious person carrying questionable documents when I attempt to deposit funds into one of my US Bank accounts.On Monday, October 15, 2018 at your Sacramento Alhambra Blvd branch (03854) , I was treated in exactly such a manner by an assistant branch manager named Alexander Shirley. This letter is written to give you the opportunity to take appropriate corrective action should you wish to do so prior to the point I sever my banking relationship with US Bank.On October 15, following a pattern that has existed for decades, I attempted to deposit a government check for [redacted]. This was issued in payment for independent contractor services during the third quarter 2018. I showed identification, though I am well known at the branch and was greeted by name when I entered. There has never been an issue with any of my prior deposits.Nevertheless, when the teller approached Mr. Shirley to get approval, he arbitrarily placed a 10 day hold on availability of the funds. Asked for an explanation for this surprising action, Mr. Shirley responded with a made-up justification : “Your account balance before the deposit was too low”.Mr. Shirley is a morbidly obese man who was obviously trying to impress a young female teller with his power and authority. Far beyond mere offense and inconvenience, Mr. Shirley’s actions have seriously disrupted my personal finances and financial reputation. It has been made impossible for me to make planned timely payments on certain tax and credit obligations.Shirley’s high-handed “because I can” attitude and disingenuous explanations greatly compound the matter.The obvious effect his actions had on me probably served his ego nicely. It disserved both me and US Bank.I will not tolerate this kind of screw-you treatment from a bank. I will not transact any business at the branch in question (03854) as long as Mr. Shirley remains employed there. I intend to entirely sever my banking relationship with US Bank unless meaningful corrective action is taken in this matter. Please contact me if I may be of any further service in bringing about such action.

I called to verify interest rate and escrow payments and was repeatedly refused! They kept trying to make me order a payoff amount because my house is on the market. They even denied me access to management. There senior representative was rude and only went off what her agent told her. Listening and collaborating to solve a problem was non existent! I will request not using us bank in the future due to their poor service!

Why have I put up with your *** for six years, because I didn't want to change bank accounts because I am rebuilding myself financially after a horrible divorce. But I am finally sick of you guys and all the *** that I have to put up with.

I don't ever remember banking being this difficult. I'm so pissed off I can't even bother with listing all the *** I've been through.

I don't want to be contacted by the company, because it's a suck *** waste of time. What are they going to do tell me for 10 minutes straight, that there sorry about the inconvenience?

Do not deposit cash into a US bank ATM machine!!!! It will malfunction and tell you to call for assistance where they will “submit a claim” that will take up to 45 days. Or sure I didn’t need that money anyways.

Difficulty in closing my fathers account after his passing

My father passed away a few months ago I have subsequently as the sole executor and beneficiary closed several Bank accounts investment accounts and an account with a brokerage firm all with the same paperwork a death certificates Social Security numbers and copies of driver's license all of the above including the sale of his house which includes mortgage companies title company and bank and realtor have all been subsequently closed money is transferred into executor account. All of the above total out to substantially more then what is in his US Bank checking accounts. however US Bank has found it necessary to throw a wrench into the mix requiring a certificate of testimony which means I would have to drive 8 hours to the courts in Colorado as I live out of state in order to obtain this piece of paper to have what little is in this checking account released. How cold is it of this Bank to expect someone who has recently buried a parent to get in their car and drive 8 hours in order to close out a small checking account when all of the above mentioned were able to comply with the paperwork that we have faxed and overnighted to US Bank. And might I also mention we have been contacting US Bank since November 3rd 2017 it is now January 30th 2018 we just in the last couple days found out about this little piece of paper that is needed after probably 30 phone calls talking to 15 or 16 different people. And overnighting twice and faxing once the information originally requested which was the same information that all the other Banks and investment houses required I find this Ludacris and a bit overwhelming when all I'm trying to do is close these accounts get the money into the executor account so that I can distribute the funds as my father has directed. Truthfully I'm not surprised their fees are some of the highest in the banking industry and my aunt when closing-out bank accounts for a great-aunt had success with four banks no issues in closing out the great-aunts accounts. however US Bank required of her more information and charged a fee that was four times the amount of all the other four Banks. as soon as I resolve this matter I will be closing my checking and savings account as well I will not recommend US Bank to anyone and I certainly will let everyone know how lousy they are with customers we are nothing but a number.

Same thing happen to me my husband pass away he had a account in us bank not much money but i wanted to close it they gave me a such a hard time its only $200 in that account its enough im greaving and falling apart of him being gone i dint need to deal with rudness of people in us bank.the account is still open its ridiculous they charge montly maintenance fee.

They cancelled my debit card due to fraud. I asked them if doing this would mess up any pending transactions and THEY SAID NO!

THEY LIED! I had only disputed one transaction but two days later started receiving one letter after another where they had put a hold on transactions that I didn't dispute. It took them days to get that straight but now the next issue is there are merchants who are trying to issue refunds that can't due to the old card being no longer active. The merchant says one thing and US Bank has no clue.

When you call US Bank you end up being on hold for hours at a time! Then they have the nerve to ask you to complete a survey... I'm looking for a new financial institution as soon as I get this whole refund issue resolved!

Over charge fee s returned check ,In which In which for 2 weeks they did not accept my direct deposit While another bank it took 2 days.Customer service was great .Bank sucks rules over charge regulations .I keep getting people that want help several weeks nothing has been accomplished.I have never had a problem like this charging every 2 days another charge .As said I was their that morning of the check was going through No help on the banks side.Banks I have used in the past would work with you especially if you have direct deposit and checks going out.

I am in the process of getting a lawyer. US Bank seems to believe they can do anything to consumers. Watch your statements and keep them as i have done. They charged me twice for mortgage insurance. Held my payments in escrow account for no reason and charged me a late fee. I wish they never brought out my mortgage
